Airtel, although a little late to the party, has also managed to cut down the prices of its data packs.

Customers opting for the plan also get a free subscription to Airtel's apps Wynk Music and Airtel TV. Prior to the announcement of the new plan, the fastest plan offered by Airtel was the 100 Mbps V-Fiber plan, which was first introduced back in October 2016.

Bharti Airtel has launched the Airtel 649 plan once again. The "Airtel Big Byte Offer" was introduced in May past year with a validity period till March 2018.

India's largest telecom operator, Bharti Airtel has launched a new superfast Home broadband plan for its customers that will offer speeds up to 300Mbps. Along with the data, the Rs 499/- plan also offers free unlimited calls (local and STD) with national roaming and 100 free SMS per day.

But, Airtel's new pack still can not match the benefits that Jio's Rs 498 prepaid recharge pack offers. This amounts to 164GB of 4G/ 3G data provided to users for the entire validity period, at a per GB cost of roughly Rs. 3.

Airtel Rs 448 plan: Under this plan, the user gets 1.4GB high-speed data per day for a validity of 82 days, which makes it a total of 114.8GB of data. However the data rollover is capped at is 1000GB. Airtel's unlimited calls are limited to 300 minutes per day and 1,000 minutes a week calling, and are charged at 30 paisa per minute after that, said Airtel on its official website.

According to Airtel's website, the data pack launched by the company is priced at Rs 2,199 and provides a download speed of 300 Mbps.

Coming to Jio's Rs 498 prepaid recharge pack, it offers 2GB 4G data per day with an extended validity of 91 days. However, the Airtel's plan might remain available over a longer period of time.

Likewise, the Rs 509 recharge pack offers 1.4GB day per day over 90 days (totally 126GB data).
