20-Year-Old Ghanaian Singer Ebony Reigns Dies in Car Crash

It has been reported that 20 year-old rising Ghanaian artiste, Ebony Reigns, real name Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, died in a fatal auto accident that happened late Thursday night on the Sunyani-Kumasi road, Ghana.

Reports had it that Ebony Reigns who was rushed down to Bechem Government Hospital few minutes after the incident but she died shortly after while her driver is still unconscious.

The singer, born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, was in the auto with her best friend and Youtube personality Franky Kuri as well as two military escorts when they collided head on with a VIP bus on Sunyani-Kumasi road in Ghana. She she was involved in an accident with VIP bus.

While speaking with Joy news, DSP Adusei confirmed the incident and disclosed that the bodies have been deposited at Mankraso Hospital Morgue in the Ashanti Region.

Two other occupants of the vehicle she was travelling in also died. It has also brought into focus the issue of deadly road accidents.

The songstress who posted the photo on her Instagram, captioned the photo, "I enjoyed our meeting today Daddy" which could mean Dr Tetteh was her "Spiritual Father".

She had been due to headline a show in Belgium dubbed Ghana Meets Naija on Saturday (10 February) and would have celebrated her birthday on 16 February.

The song became a hit on radio landing her nomination for the unsung category at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards.
