Walmart leaks the Google Home Mini and Pixel 2 XL yet again

We're expecting a whole bundle of announcements all in a single event, with Google refreshing hardware lineups and introducing altogether new products as well.

We've been hearing about the Google Home Mini for a couple of months now: first we revealed Google's plans to make a smaller Home then Droid-Life leaked the Mini's design and price.

The speaker was available online for a glorious few minutes starting at 12pm EST/9am PST, which suggests someone maybe hit the publish button a day early-as Google's event is expected to start tomorrow, October 4, at that same hour. From what we know so far, it will come with a fabric material on top similar to what we've seen in the Google Daydream View VR headset.

Like the Amazon Echo Dot, the Google Home Mini will also skip the big speaker setup for a smaller form factor.

The device weighs less than a pound and measures at 4.53 x 4.53 x 4.72 inches. The premature posting has more or less confirmed the existence of this device.

While this is really going to put a bee in someone's bonnet over at Google, the news is actually really useful.

On today's podcast, we run through a bunch of those expected devices, including the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones, as well as the Google Home Mini smart speaker. The Google Pixel 2 XL, on the other hand, is being manufactured by LG and it is pretty evident from the aesthetics.
