While other hospital staff present in the operation theater tried to calm the doctors down and end the frightful fight between the two medicos, someone secretly captured it on camera. The video was shot on a mobile phone even though carrying them into the operation theatre is restricted as they are known to spread infection.

Dr Nainwal and Dr Tak have both been suspended.

The incident took place on Tuesday, August 29, at Umaid Hospital in Jodhpur and came to light after one of the staff members secretly captured the whole altercation.

According to NDTV, when one of the doctors, the obstetrician, finally delivered the baby, it didn't survive.

While gynaecologist Dr. Ashok Neniwal and anaesthetic Dr. ML Tak were busy in squabbling, the woman patient was lying on the operation table with her stomach cut open.

An argument had erupted between the doctors when the two were performing a C-section on a pregnant woman, scheduled because of the low heartbeat of the foetus. It is reported that the quarrel was based on the feeble heartbeat of the foetus. Reportedly, the anesthetist, Dr Tak tried to have a junior doctor carry out tests, which Dr Nainwal did not agree with.

The video purportedly showed the two doctors shouting at each other, warning them to keep their language in check and sparring over what appears to be an ego clash.

The Rajasthan High Court has asked for a report by this afternoon on the incident at the hospital, the city's biggest.

He also said that the committee has been established to look more deeply into the matter and a strict action will be taken against them. The family of the patient who have to bear the loss are protesting against the doctors' callous and unprofessional behaviour.
