What the World Needs Now Is the First 'The Tick' Trailer

The Tick was previously adapted as a cartoon that ran on Fox from 1994 to 1996, and was later made into a live-action series that starred Seinfeld's Patrick Warburton. Having seen the pilot for Amazon's reboot, I will admit that I really, really like Serafinowicz in the role of the near-indestructible hero who can spout wise words of wisdom like: "Murder, it's just not cool". The latter premiered in May, though the former (and The Tick) have waited in the wings for their first chance to shine. The first trailer for the new Amazon Prime series "The Tick", an adaptation of the cult comic series and the one-season show from 2001, hit the internet Wednesday. The show stars Guardians of the Galaxy's Peter Serafinowicz as the antennae-spouting hero of the title. While most of the focus is on the Tick himself as he uses his super strength and bulletproof exterior to fight villains, Arthur has to come to terms with his new identity as a superhero sidekick. "Destiny's on the line, Arthur". The first six episodes of Season 1 will air then while the second six will air sometime in early 2018.

Episodes are available exclusively to Prime members, and can be found over at Amazon when released. The Tick may not have a tremendous amount of thematic crossover with Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy, but it's good to know there are some seasoned superpowered hands helming the show. But if you watched the Amazon pilot previous year, I'm going to guess you're onboard.
