Bigg Boss Tamil is in its third week, and so far the show has been doing well.

Speaking about the Hindu Makkal Katchi, he said, "This show has been running for the last 11 years, they might not be watching it because they do not know Hindi but it is there in Kannada also, all they know is culture, they do not know the country".

The pro-Hindu group filed a petition with the police claiming that the show disgraces Tamil culture. The host Kamal Hassan and the participants Namitha, Oviya, Gayathri Raguran, Julie, Raiza, Haarathi, Vayyapuri, Shakthi, Ganja Karuppu, Aarav, Snehan, Bharani, Ganesh Venkatraaman should be arrested immediately and I seek legal action from the police department. He went on to add that the fringe group hasn't watched any similar shows that are being aired for over a decade on Indian television. While it's not new that Kamal has been caught in the crossfire of a controversy, he, however, feels Bigg Boss is as necessary as cricket in India and said that he isn't anxious about the case against him. He had, in fact, answered to the many allegations that the show is against Tamil culture by explaining that according to him, the show is a social experiment. The group, in its statement, alleged the show hurt the sentiments of 7 crore Tamilians.

Hindu Makkal Katchi demanded, "Bigg Boss should be banned for disrespecting Tamil culture and contestants should be arrested for projecting themselves as blunt and fake in a TV program".

"The participants are mouthing obscene statements and are acting 75 per cent nude".

On Wednesday's press meet, Kamal Haasan has talked about a lot of things including his view on Bigg Boss controversy, GST, Kerala actress' abduction case, ticket pricing in Tamil Nadu and double taxation.
