IIFA 2017 was a grand night of dance, drama, music and most importantly - awards.

As for the other awards, Sonam Kapoor's film Neerja won the Best Film award.

All three of them were emotional about winning the award for a film which let mainstream performers take up something risky.

Rahman sang two lines from "Maa tujhe salaam" much to the delight of the audience on the final day of the 18th edition of International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend and Awards, an annual celebration of Hindi cinema at a foreign location.

Best picture went to Neerja, a thriller based on the true story of a purser who helped save the lives of more than 350 passengers when Libyan-backed hijackers stormed Pan Am Flight 73 in Karachi, Pakistan, in 1986. While Katrina Kaif is busy celebrating her birthday U.S. style, Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Gauri Khan and Varun Dhawan are having a gala time making memories and celebrating the wins at the awards night.

Best Lyricist: Amitabh Bhattacharya for the song Channa Mere Ya from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

As hosts, Karan Johar and Saif Ali Khan attempted to keep the humor alive, but beyond a point, the crowd wasn't very engaged and booed them in between.

Sushant and Shahid were the nominees in Best Actor category for their performances in M.S. Dhoni The Untold Story and Udta Punjab respectively. Now, Bollywood's pretty actress Katrina Kaif's doppelganger was found at the IIFA event and the video of her is going viral on social media platforms.
