Tactics Board: How Pakistan can beat England

England has a better balance and depth in the squad as compared to their Asian counterparts Pakistan. In the process, they finished second in Group B behind India and qualified for the semi-finals. England on the other hand have won three out of three in their group, topping it eventually. "So we even set up on the spot ticket sales for matches like New Zealand v Bangladesh but still not many turned up, which was surprising", the official was quoted as saying by the daily.

Pakistan are also considering changes with coach Mickey Arthur planning to meet captain Sarfraz to discuss whether he should bat higher after his unbeaten 61 saw them home against Sri Lanka.

All three of Australia's matches were interrupted by the UK's less-than-glorious weather.

Batting first, England were all-out on 211 runs in 49.5 overs. It was a cruel blow for the men from down under.

Pakistan have always been known as an "unpredictable" side, a tag that all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez said he embraced in the build-up to the Sri Lanka match. The four teams reached their last group stage match with two points each. But unusual things have happened this tournament - the No.1 ranked ODI team, South Africa, is out while Bangladesh are in their first ever ICC tournament semis.

When is England vs Pakistan and where can I watch it?

For fans in Pakistan, PTV - the Pakistan Television Corporation, that country's state-owned TV network - will carry the dramatic Champions Trophy semifinal showdown live on PTV Sports - and will make a free live stream of the crucial match available as well - for viewers inside of Pakistan only.

Pakistan will face the victor of tomorrow's/Thursday's semi-final between India and Bangladesh, meaning we are guaranteed an all-Asian final.

England take on Pakistan on Wednesday, June 14. Few could have predicted that, 10 days later, he would be the tournament's top bowler heading into the final.

This means that in the case of the rain rendering semi-finals unplayable, England and India would progress to the final.

In 2000, the country entered cricket's elite, becoming a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and hosting their first test match, against India in Dhaka.

Already 4-0 down in the five-match series in August and September previous year - which included that shellacking at Trent Bridge - Pakistan gained a measure of pride with a consolation victory in Cardiff, the same venue for Wednesday's semi-final. If both teams end with the same number of runs, they would have to play a Super Over.

"Now we need to go one step further and never be satisfied".
