And one of the games that will be a highlight for the showcase is Star Wars: Battlefront II...and now we have an idea of what will be shown. Agile Clone Jet Troopers hop from rooftop to rooftop, while rampaging B2 Super Battle Droids level everything in their path. Armies of Clones and Droids sprint across cover, their blazing weapons shattering the tranquility of the once-peaceful capital of Naboo.

It all revolves around the Assault on Theed, which fans may remember from Star Wars: Episode One - The Phantom Menace. You can check out gameplay before the actual game is playable at the EA Play event later in the same week.

The Star Wars Battlefront 2 EA Play live stream has an 8.30pm United Kingdom start time on June 10.

It involves Clone Troopers defending against Separatist Battle Droids in an attempt to save the palace. It's part of DICE and EA's masterplan to incorporate content from all three eras of the Star Wars universe, and the result is a sequel that purportedly includes "three times the content" of its predecessor on day one.

EA also confirmed that the the livestream will feature influencers from YouTube, Twitch and other platforms to have a go at the 40-player event.

This livestream will have two teams, 20 vs 20, fight on Naboo, but if Jar-Jar Binks will show up as well somehow remains to be seen.

Your first glimpse of Star Wars: Battlefront II gameplay is just around the corner, and now we know what you'll be seeing.

EA has only released one official trailer for "Battlefront 2", but some leakers have already shared some clips from the game.

There's also an allegedly leaked screenshot of what appears to be the "Battlefront 2" loadout screen.

According to the PlayStation Blog, if you subscribe to 12 months of PlayStation Plus, you will get a code for Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition on PlayStation 4.
