Now, you can chase that shot of Smirnoff vodka with a side of snide, thanks to a new ad campaign from the massive spirits brand.

An ad featuring the brand poked fun at the special counsel's investigation into the Trump campaign team's contact with the Russian establishment, over which former FBI Director James Comey testified on Thursday.

A bus ad for the liquor company says it's "Made in America - But we'd be happy to talk about our ties to Russian Federation under oath".

Although vodka originated in Russia, Smirnoff vodka, in particular, is made in the US and owned by a British company, Diageo.

Smirnoff Vodka and Gordon's Gin at a supermarket in Watford, U.K., August 8, 2013. One user tweeted that Smirnoff's ad campaign is brilliant.

The brand, now owned by British drinks company Diageo, was founded in Moscow more than a century ago by Pyotr Arsenievich Smirnov, whose family fled Russian Federation during the October Revolution in 1917.

The Department of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and intelligence committees in the House and Senate are now investigating any Russian interference with the Trump campaign. Comey highlighted private conversations he claims to have had with Trump, including testimony that the president asked him to back off a probe into former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions will testify at a public hearing of the Senate intelligence committee on Tuesday.
