On top of that, as a pleasingly refreshing chaser to the wallet busting iMac Pro, the entry-level MacBook Pro without touchbar now starts at £1,249 - the same price as the MacBook. The desktop models will have the "best Mac displays ever", the company said. Starting at US$4999, its the most expensive and powerful computer Apple has made. Entrepreneurs who regularly do advanced 3D modeling, heavy-duty film editing, data science and analytics, architectural rendering, machine learning, VR development, and animation will no doubt be taken with both the power and packaging of the iMac Pro.

We compare Apple's new iMac Pro desktop computer with the original 27-inch iMac, to see what the difference is in terms of specs, graphics, price and other key features. You could release the best app ever and accumulate a host of reviews and fantastic ratings, but when the time comes to upgrade your app to add in new features or sort out bugs - poof! The I/O upgrade involves two USB-C connectors that support Thunderbolt 3. The base Mac Pro is now powered by a 3.5GHz hexa-core Intel Xeon E5 processor, Dual AMD FirePro D500 GPUs and 16 gigs of RAM. The 13-inch MacBook Air also got a faster processor in a rare update.

One of the most exciting launches by far however was the new Apple iMac Pro. All the MacBook Pro will feature Apple's Touch Bar coupled with Touch ID along with 500-nit Retina display and Thunderbolt 3 port.

The iMac Pro has also been given a new "space gray" paint job, making it distinct from the traditional silver of the iMac.

The new Apple iMac Pro starts with an 8-core Intel Xeon processor. With an all-flash architecture and all-new thermal design, iMac Pro delivers up to 80 percent more cooling capacity in the same thin and seamless iMac® design. The MacBook Air comes with a 1.8 GHz processor. However, it can be configured with an 18-core processor alternative and up to 128GB of EEC RAM, storage of 4TB SSD and Radeon Vega discrete graphics cards including up to 16GB of memory. This is a big deal for older accessories that are already shipping, allowing them to add support for the platform through software without the need for including a hardware authentication chip that Apple previously required.
