The Spy Who Dumped me tells the tale of two women (played by Kate McKinnion and Mila Kunis) who find themselves in the middle of an global conspiracy when one of them realises their ex (who, yep, dumped them) was actually a spy. The title character doesn't have a name that's been publicly revealed, but what we do know is that Heughan will star opposite Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon as the female leads. Susanna Fogel will direct, while David Iserson, who's written for Mad Men, Mr. Robot and New Girl, will write the script. The Spy Who Dumped Me would not be the actor's first feature length film, but it would be his first time with such a big Hollywood production, rather than smaller, independent films. Now Outlander star Sam Heughan is Lionsgate's choice for the part.

Deadline reports that Sam Heughan's first major non-Outlander project since he took on the mantle on the popular Starz drama will be a definite departure. Outlander is packed with dramatic scenes and epic battles, but it's very different from the kind of comedy that Kunis has been doing recently with films like Bad Moms.

Everyone's favorite Scottish highlander is read to tackle comedy in Lionsgate's upcoming action comedy The Spy Who Dumped Me with Kate McKinnon and Mila Kunis.
