Major Opening Segment Revealed for WWE Raw Tonight

Brock hasn't been on RAW since the day after WrestleMania, and he always bring a chaotic energy to the show.

On this episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, a combat of historic proportion inserted itself as two widely regarded wrestlers locked horns for the first time ever.

Of course, in the WWE, Samoa Joe is playing the heel and has proven to be good in the WWE-version of a bad guy where he picks his spots with sneak attacks and leaving before he gets hurt.

As for a follow-up, well, we're probably a few weeks away from that, as Lesnar isn't scheduled to be on Raw next week.

Last week on Raw Samoa Joe met Paul Heyman in the ring, and he sent a message to Brock Lesnar when he choked out his advocate using the Coquina Clutch.

Tonight's show opened with the return of the Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar.

According to a report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Universal Champion Brock Lesnar upcoming program with advocate-choking new #1 Contender Samoa Joe will be a one-off. Joe had promised to not buckle down to Lesnar's challenge and that he won't be afraid of the behemoth and it proved true. Joe says Lesnar needs to come find him.

While SmackDown Live utilizes its entire Women's Division nearly always, Raw tends to fall into the cycle of only focusing on the championship scene.

Dana Brooke, Mickie James and Sasha Banks won via submission with the Bank Statement crossface from Banks on Emma. When Superstars are not on TV for a week or so, fans are automatically more excited when they show up. It's perfectly acceptable if WWE wants to stick to that scheduled 'Mania match (despite how it will likely be rejected by the crowd), but Lesnar should be having competitive matches in the meantime.

Move - Jeff Hardy's Whisper in the Wind onto Sheamus & Cesaro: The biggest spot of Sunday's Extreme Rules card provided a nostalgic moment of reflection as Hardy turned back the clock by leaping off the top of the cage. Matt made things even for the Hardy's hitting a twist of fate on Cesaro.

Elsewhere on RAW, Sheamus & Cesaro remain Tag Team Champions after a freakish draw in a 2-falls-out-of-3 match against The Hardy Boyz.
