Lucy Hale posted a sweet throwback picture of her with her father, but when she commented on the photo a little later, things took an upsetting turn.

In a reply to a friend, Lucy calls herself "so fat" (most people would not consider her overweight in the photo) and says "ugh" to describe how she felt about her body.

Seems fine enough, right? "I love you daddy", she wrote.

However, some fans noticed a later comment from the actress which read, "ugh I was so fat". For one, Hale is not fat in the slightest in the photo, and labelling her body as so perpetuates unrealistic body standards. "Fat" is not a bad word. You weren't, and even if you were, who cares? You may be thinner now but were never "fat". "Joking or not, you should be aware if your audience and recognize that kids look up to you and when trying to emulate you they could possibly be looking in the mirror saying, 'ugh, I'm so fat, '" another added. "We know you were sick and it's hard", said one commenter, most likely referencing the eating disorder.

Sunny Hostin then said, "You can't use the f-word" in general, explaining that she banned "fat" from her vocabulary after her aunt told her it was "very hurtful" when her family used it.

Hale's followers immediately slammed her problematic, body-shaming statement.

. She can't act like she has a ideal life just because she's famous and has fans. As long as Lucy is comfortable with how she feels, that is all that matters, and others have no place making judgments about her weight.

Props to her for owning up to her comments and working towards a healthy lifestyle.
