A vigil will be held on Monday evening near London Bridge in honour of the victims of the attack, which took place at around 10pm, while a minute's silence will take place at 11am on Tuesday.

There were also five people who were killed when Islamist extremist Khalid Masood drove a vehicle into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge on March 22 and then stabbed a police officer outside the Palace of Westminster.

Trump maintained the feud with Khan on Monday, tweeting: "Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Sadiq Khan who had to think fast on his "no reason to be alarmed" statement". The van mounted the sidewalk on the bridge and struck pedestrians. In the footage, he's seen praying near an ISIS flag and with a close associate of Islamic hate preacher Anjem Choudary.

"We grieve the loss of our dear friend and colleague, and will remember her as a talented social worker, workmate and exceptional human being".


The native of Castlegar, British Columbia, had previously worked in a shelter for the homeless.

A French citizen was also killed, foreign affairs minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said.

United Kingdom politicians also resumed campaigning Monday, three days ahead of a national general election which polls show is much closer than previously predicted. London Bridge train station also reopened.

A memorial is planned for 6 p.m. (1 p.m. ET) local time Monday in the capital's Potters Field Park, as the city continues to digest its second attack in two months.

Britain's response to the terror threat must change, she said.

A British Transport police officer was stabbed in the head, face and leg after taking on the attackers armed only with his baton.
