Bloom tweeted a press release explaining, "Earlier this week, Ms. Griffin released a controversial photograph of herself posing with a faux-bloody mask of Donald Trump's face".

Griffin apologized within hours of the images appearing online. According to TMZ, the 56-year-old's Celebrity Run-In Tour stops at the St. George Theatre in Staten Island and the State Theatre in New Brunswick, NJ have both been axed. I'm a comic. I crossed the line.

Trump responded to the depiction, saying his 11-year-old son, Barron, was "having a hard time" with the photo.

Washington Post reports first Lady Melania's reaction was a bit more weighty and emotional than her husband's.

After Griffin posted the terrible photos, the Trump family were just a few of numerous individuals who attacked the D-lister, calling what she did inappropriate and classless. It will be the first comments Griffin has made since she was relieved of her duties as CNN's New Year's Eve host. "When you consider some of the atrocities happening in the world today, a photo opportunity like this is simply wrong and makes you wonder about the mental health of the person who did it". It is never amusing to joke about killing a president'. She agreed that it was not amusing at all and she publicly apologized.

After the photo was published, the slings and arrows that have come at her was weren't so much from the Trump family, but rather from rather from others who expressed their disgust on social media.

"I think she did the right thing asking for forgiveness and acknowledging that this is a terrible mistake, so I think she can", Franken told "New Day" on Wednesday. I understand how it offends people.
