― Reuters picPARIS, June 3 ― Olivier Giroud's hat-trick inspired France to a 5-0 friendly victory over Paraguay yesterday, boosting Les Bleus' confidence ahead of a potentially decisive World Cup qualifier against Sweden next week.

Olivier Giroud has dismissed speculation linking him with a move away from Arsenal and targeted winning the Premier League title with the Gunners.

The striker, who scored a hat-trick for France in Friday's 5-0 win over Paraguay, signed a contract extension at the Emirates in January but has been concerned by a lack of regular game time.

Substitute Alexandre Lacazette broke to set up Moussa Sissoko for a simple tap-in before Griezmann rounded out the scoring after Silva's fumble fell to him in front of an open goal (77').

Just a minute later, Griezmann thumped home following a mix-up in defense for his 16th worldwide goal.

His third came in the second half as he got in front of his marker to get a touch onto Lucas Digne's cross and has now netted 26 times for the national team - one goal shy of Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema but still far off overtaking Thierry Henry (51).

The Arsenal center forward struck a neat volley at the back post from Ousmane Dembele's right-wing cross and then met Dimitri Payet's cross from the left with a low diving header to make it 2-0 after just 13 minutes.

Setting a French record for goalkeepers with his 88th cap, Hugo Lloris had little to do.

After facing Sweden in Stockholm, the French have a friendly against England at Stade de France four days later.
