Cavaliers were 'too nice' at start of NBA Finals - Lue

The Warriors returned home to the Bay Area with a 3-1 series lead after the Cavaliers registered a record-breaking 137-116 triumph in Friday's Game 4.

"When I have the ball in my hands, I've just got to be a little bit more aggressive than I was in game four, try to get in the paint, make plays, and not let them try to take me out of it", Curry said. Prior to Monday's crucial game, James talked to the media and commented on what needs to be done in order for his team to get the win.

"We didn't play at the level we're supposed to be at and they exposed that and took advantage of it, came out and played extremely well". I don't see anything amusing or anything to smile about.

But after getting moved off the ball at times, Irving played much better in the two games at home. "Talking trash or knocking guys on the floor, whatever you got to do, you got to do it".

A year ago for Game 5 of the NBA Finals, Golden State general manager Bob Myers sat alongside suspended forward Draymond Green next-door to Oracle Arena in a suite at the Oakland Athletics game.

DRAYMOND GREEN: Well, they boo me and they thought I had a tech that I didn't have, so that wasn't sharp. "Then, all of a sudden, you get smacked in the face, and it's like: Whoa".

Cleveland is now 4-0 the past two years when facing elimination against Golden State. "We know what we have to do". It was clear the Cavs came out to win and they assumed the winning form the GSW squad had in display from Game 1 to 3.

Now Cleveland is trying to become the first playoff team to overcome a 3-0 deficit, but that requires a road win Monday.

Green has played just 133 minutes through four games.

"If you don't do something well, they will make you pay for it, so we have to be 20 times better in this building and we understand that... We're going to earn it".

LeBron also had an All-Star Game type moment - but this was a real play in a real Finals game, and one which demonstrated his wonderful basketball instincts after he got caught in the air with nothing to do - except pass it to himself off the board.

"We love how aggressive Kyrie has been", Cavaliers star LeBron James said Sunday. "It's probably going to stay that way and we'll see what happens after that".

Now, the parallels will be rendered meaningless if Golden State wins Game 5. "For us, every game's a game seven".

"That's going to give us the best possible chance to go back home with a Game 6 (on Thursday)".

"Maybe more measured", Myers said, comparing Green from previous year to now. What do you expect to happen? I mean, if you have the opportunity to do that - is it fair that the Cowboys added Deion Sanders?

Each of the top five highest Finals totals have now come from this series, and every contest except for game 1 has gone over. Most points in a Finals quarter, most points in a Finals half set the tone for a historic game. We did a good job of that. With how often last game was stalled due to whatever questionable call the officials decided to make, Curry will most likely find his rhythm. "We have been in this situation before".

"We are the defending champs, and we believe that we have enough here to win a championship. You gotta give them credit and they can duplicate that, so we gotta be ready for it".
