In a post on his Twitter account Wednesday morning, Trump said, "My children, especially my 11-year-old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this".

Donald Trump made a typo on Twitter and the internet had a lot of fun with "Covfefe".

Many on Twitter have supplied tongue-in-cheek meanings.

Even Jimmy Kimmel got in on the act.

"Don't talk to me until I've had my #covfefe", wrote one user.

Trump is renowned for his Twitter blasts, sometimes tweeting multiple times an hour, aiming his attacks at "fake media" and Democratic opponents.

The businessman-turned-politician appears to have been writing 'despite the constant negative press coverage.' but we may never know what then end of that sentence should have been.

Twitter users had a field day Tuesday with news of Trump's surge. But it seems Donald Trump's latest little blunder is going to run.

"Is covfefe the new farrago?", wrote journalist Smita Sharma, drawing a comparison with a word used by Congress leader Shashi Tharoor in his reaction to a TV report.

US President Donald Trump has sent out a freakish late-night tweet that trailed off into gibberish, prompting a confused response from his followers and critics.

If we had to guess, it would go something like this: "Covfefe is the biggest word in the English language, period!"
