West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has confirmed that the Premier League club have opted to activate a clause in goalkeeper Adrian's contract that will keep him at the London outfit for an extra 12 months.

The Spanish right-back was signed on a one-year deal last summer from Real Madrid but has had a torrid campaign for West Ham, playing only four times.

The former Premier League title winning manager has been out-of-work since leaving Inter Milan last summer, but is believed to be keen to return to the dugout, and has England on his radar.

They'll hope to end the season on a high with three points at Turf Moor this Sunday. Should this occur then there will be no shortage of suitors for the job.

However, Bilic was adamant his current squad have enough leaders in the dressing room who have helped with overcoming hard periods this season.

Yet Slaven Bilic's men don't seem to enjoy the final day of the season.

The New Zealand global has undergone season-ending surgery on a chronic knee injury which he has played with for the past few weeks.

"He is our player and we're very happy", said Bilic ahead of Sunday's season-ending visit to Burnley.

The Hammers sit 12th, three points below ninth-placed West Brom. This game will be a chance for the players to thank their fans by getting a win for them and I expecting that to happen. They have also dropped the most in 2016-17 alone (22). "He hasn't trained, it's impossible for him to play", Bilic said of the striker.

The injured Michail Antonio is West Ham's top Premier League goalscorer this season with nine goals. If they don't have as good of a home record as they have done next season and they don't sort out their away form, I think they could struggle.
