The Mumbai Indians bowlers pulled off a heist against Rising Pune Supergiant.

Sundar's performance, combined with support from the other bowlers, put Rising Pune Supergiant on the cusp of something special, but only just. This was one of the closely contested IPL Finals till date. "It's just not about bowling or batting; they contribute in fielding as well which is such a critical part in this format." he added.

Pune ended second-bottom of the tournament previous year and had a mixed start this season under the captaincy of Steve Smith, who was working with legendary wicket-keeper MS Dhoni in his ranks.

While the target was an easy one, it turned out to be tricky with 47 needed off the last five overs.

But, those celebrations were nothing if one compared to Jos Buttler's celebration while watching the game in his country, England. That's a little bit sad, but that shows different individuals have stepped up at different times and taken up responsibility.

Daniel Christian was run out while going for the third run to tie the game. Both our finals have seen us do that.

Parthiv not anxious about INDIA selection Parthiv Patel finished the IPL with 395 runs in 16 games emerging as the top run-getter for champions Mumbai Indians besides his contribution behind the stumps. It's a long tournament and you have to make sure the team stays together for that period. According to me, I don't think we applied ourselves too well. If we had tried to reach 180, then you could've been bowled out for 120. Krunal was awarded the player of the match for his match winning knock.

On experience in bowling unit: I think cricket is all about experience and inexperience.

"Our team has several match-winners and big match players, so it helped". You're the strongest person I know and I am so so so proud of you.

Terming Lasith Malinga and Jasprit Bumrah as best death bowlers, Rohit said he always preferred a five-bowler attack. They've done it consistently. He (Malinga) has done well for us for a number of years. That's what experience does. So, we wanted Smith to hit into the wind. This pair scored 37 runs off the last three overs. "They made sure our feet were on the ground", said the wicketkeeper. We can talk as much as we want.

The brilliant Bumrah saw the back of MS Dhoni (10) after Smith executed the switch hit expertly to hit Krunal for six in the same over and Pune were left needing 33 from four overs.
