In another video posted on Twitter, Trump can be seen waving a hand at the crowd before reaching out for Melania who once again, snubbed the US President and instead proceeded to tuck her hair in.

Moreover, he left after a 28-hour visit to Israel and the occupied West Bank convinced that he has partners in peace after meeting with the president of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel. Turning to the prime minister, who joined him for the speech, Trump said, "Benjamin Netanyahu wants peace".

"The Palestinians are ready to reach for peace".

He also commended the importance of the holding of the Arab-Islamic-American Summit in the Saudi capital on Sunday.

Is it possible? The Israelis would love to settle the conflict with the Palestinians in a way that allows them to keep their security positions, their major settlements, and all of Jerusalem.

Nevertheless, Trump managed to do plenty of things during his visit.

He stressed, however, that the real problem was in occupation and settlements.

JOHN YANG: Abbas outlined what's called the two-state solution, a Palestinian homeland on the territory that Israel seized 50 years ago in the Six-Day War. The problem is not between us and Judaism.

Hunger strike solidarity protesters erected a cage with an effigy of a Palestinian prisoner in Bethlehem's Manger Square, chanting: "Trump, listen!" And their demands are humane and just. "I am speaking, of course, of Iran", the president said. "I am telling you that, that's what I do", Trump told the suddenly quiet audience in Jerusalem.

Right-wingers said they were at least relieved that Trump made no mention of the two-state solution, which they strongly oppose.

Referring to the deal, Trump told the Israeli public on Tuesday, "We not only gave them [the Iranians] a lifeline, we gave them wealth and prosperity". President Abbas assures me he is ready to work toward that goal in good faith. She admired Trump's business success, but she said, that doesn't translate into making someone a peacemaker.

"I also look forward to working with President Abbas on other important matters, such as unlocking the potential of the Palestinian economy - which is having a very rough time - and building on our very positive counterterrorism efforts", he added.

During a meeting with President Reuven Rivlin of Israel, Mr Trump started to praise his new Secretary of State Rex Tillerson about the "incredible job" he has done. "This wicked ideology must be obliterated - and I mean completely obliterated - and innocent life must be protected".

Netanyahu, pressed by conservatives in his coalition, got much of what he wanted in a speech delivered Tuesday by Trump at the Israel Museum that adopted much of the prime minister's own worldview of a dynamic, democratic Israel courageously defending itself against enemies like Iran.
