Coming out independently, via the Ball family's Big Baller Brand, the UCLA star unveils the shoe in a video feature with SLAM Magazine.

According to Darren Rovell of ESPN, the shoe giants walked away after LaVar "offered something that has no precedent".

Lavar Ball and his family have taken the next step forward with the Big Baller Brand. You can own both James Harden's and Russell Westbrook's signature shoes - and still have money to buy a pair of Air Jordan XXX1s like Kawhi Leonard wears.

Mind you, like, no basketball shoes - not LeBrons, not KDs, not Kobes - sell for more than $200. But no amount of fatherly adoration warrants a almost $500 price point for a player who hasn't even been successfully drafted into the National Basketball Association yet.

"What kid, you know, that's 19 can make his own shoe the way he wants it?"

The Balls were turned down by the major shoe companies - Nike, Adidas, Under Armour - after LaVar insisted on doing a licensing deal for his Big Baller Brand instead of a standard endorsement deal.

"When I went to that meeting, they were looking at me insane at the first take", Ball said. "It's about them B's - billions". The shoe is available for pre-order but will not ship out to customers until November 2017.
