Clichy is one of several City players whose contracts are due to expire this summer, with right-back Pablo Zabaleta having already announced his departure from the club.

"I'm convinced that with time we'll be able to implement his ideas, that with time his ideas will also be able to probably match the challenges of the Premier League, and therefore will be successful, so we just have to do it now".

Guardiola is expected to hold talks at City's training ground on Tuesday with those players whose futures are still to be resolved before flying to Aub Dhabi for his end of season review with Khaldoon al-Mubarak, the club's chairman. I want to go on until the end and the best way is going to be (playing) football with City. "To be honest, to see me in another shirt would be quite hard".

Hart is now on loan at Torino after Pep Guardiola decided he wasn't the player he wanted between the sticks.

An experienced full-back who is comfortable in possession, strong in the tackle and has a good reading of the game, Clichy recorded an 85% average pass accuracy in the league this season, won 34 tackles and made 53 interceptions across 25 appearances.

Toure added: "I've always been positive even when I was in a hard situation and people were questioning me and saying I could move in the summer". "I want to be honest with the fans because those guys have been so special and the club has been good to me".
