Marie woman and her American boyfriend have been reportedly found dead after disappearing in Belize last week.

She said DeVoursney and Matus had been dating for just a few months.

Matus was scheduled to leave the country on Wednesday, but when her friend arrived to drive her to the airport, she was not home and DeVoursney's motorcycle was still parked in in the driveway.

The night before she was supposed to fly home, something happened and now Matus and her American boyfriend are dead.

She says Matus had only met De Voursney this winter season.

DeVoursney was a Marine veteran who enlisted after 9/11.

"[I've] been through so much with both of them doing so many tours in Afghanistan and Iraq - and then going through all that, he [Drew] always stayed in touch", she explains. According to the crowd funding page, DeVoursney first served in Fallujah, Iraq, with the 1st Marines in 2004 and returned to the war-torn country with the 11th Marines in 2007. Char DeVoursney, the mother of the victim, says they were found with their hands duct-taped but this detail has not been substantiated by other outlets.
