Initially, the LTE model of the Galaxy Book will be exclusively available at Verizon stores, whereas the other two Wi-Fi only variants will be up for sale in Samsung stores and other major national retailers. The 12in Galaxy Book with Wi-Fi connectivity costs $1,129.99, whereas the 10.6in model at $629.99.

Samsung's Galaxy Book, its detachable 2-in-1 Surface Competitor, has official pricing and a release date. There will also be an LTE-equipped variant available through Verizon Wireless starting tomorrow. The black colour model will be exclusive to Best Buy store, while others retailers will get the standard silver model.

The Galaxy Book has a premium, flexible design for easy portability and maximum productivity.

Samsung includes software called Galaxy Flow specifically for owners of its Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

The specs for the Galaxy Book models can be seen below.

Samsung unveiled at MWC 2017 a couple of compelling Windows 10 tablets ready to rival Microsoft's highly praised Surface Pro devices.

The Galaxy Book 12 is Wi-Fi only and yet sports a higher price of $1,429 when compared to the consumer variant. This variant will start shipping on May 23 and preorders will go live on April 21. The 10.6-inch variant sports a TFT FHD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1280, while the 12-inch model comes with a 12-inch Super AMOLED FHD display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels.

Bizarrely enough, the Wi-Fi-only 12-inch Galaxy Book can be upgraded to 8 gigs of RAM and a 256 gig SSD if you so please, while the humbler 10.6-incher is offered in 64 and 128GB eMMC versions with 4GB memory, a Core m3 SoC and lower-res screen. Apparently, both the "optional" keyboard and S Pen are "included", with "PC-level" performance delivered by a seventh-gen Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD.
