Kendrick Lamar New Album Finally Gets A Release Date

For the past couple of weeks Kendrick Lamar has been hinting at a new album.

Kendrick Lamar told us that something was coming on April 7. A page for a new Lamar album-which may just be called ALBUM-appeared on iTunes late Thursday night, bearing an "expected release" date of April 14, 2017.

Well, sadly, that's not happening.

The album drops on April 14.

Still. At least we've got 'Humble' to keep us exactly that.

The album is now titled ALBUM, and appears to include 14 songs, including Lamar's latest track, 'HUMBLE.'.

Even more enticing was this line: "You know what time it is, ante up, this is in forever / Y'all got 'til April the 7th to get ya'll sh*t together". Last week's fiery, Mike Will-produced 'HUMBLE.' is the only confirmed track on the album.

Lamar recently described the album as "very urgent", saying he wants to return to "addressing the problem" the way he did on his 2015 album "To Pimp A Butterfly". In the interview, Lamar said that in light of the how, "wayward things have gone within the past few months", his new album would be focusing on his community and "the other communities around the world where they're doing the groundwork". "I'm in a space now where I'm not addressing the problem anymore", he said. It's not all bad news though, Kenny just wants to make us wait a little while longer for his next release.
