John Cena made every fan of the Wrestlemania believe in love as he pulled off a marriage proposal to his longtime girlfriend Nikki Bella. "A strong person that I consider an inspiration, an equal". I said, 'Holy bleep! "Somebody when she's down I can pick her up".

Nikki, who stars on the E! reality series Total Divas, was asked on the talk show The Real in October 2016 if Cena would propose.

"I don't want to get married, and I don't want kids", Cena said on a 2014 episode.

In front of the screaming WrestleMania crowd, Cena dropped to one knee and asked 33-year-old Bella to marry him. She also claimed that WWE was their home, it is where they met, it is their passion and it is their life and the people has become part of their families.

Cena took to Twitter to express his gratitude to the World Wrestling Entertainment network for letting him propose in the ring after he and Bella won their mixed tag team match.

'In no way would I ask you to sacrifice anything for me, ' he said at the time.

Cena did just that, but he also had another message for anyone questioning how real his relationship is with Bella. "This was literally a once in a lifetime thing to fight alongside the woman I love". When asked about the potential date, Cena simply replied, "That's up to the boss", while gesturing to Bella to his left.

So for me, it's kind of like he's, you know, my prince charming and he's just saying "I want her to be my queen" at our home, in front of our family.

P.S. I've never been to a Chuck E. Cheese in my entire life and if I have it my way, I'll never go to one for as long as I live.

And, of course, she said yes.

"Just because the fact that it is a giant production, as Al [Roker] saw, there needed to be at least one other person who knew", Cena explained.

The couple started dating in 2012, after Cena divorced his high school sweetheart Elizabeth Huberdeau.
