After recalling his first 100 days with Vice President Mike Pence (Beck Bennett), Trump calls in Bannon and "my little Kush-ball".

"These 100 days have been such a success", he said.

"Jared, You take the most handsome photos", Baldwin's Trump said. And just before SNL's broadcast, USA military officials reported that North Korea had test-fired a missile, which exploded and failed to launch.

The bunny suit was a good fit - not only because the show aired the night before Easter Sunday, but because, during the George W. Bush administration, the real Spicer actually played Easter Bunny at the White House's Annual Easter Egg Roll. Jimmy Fallon or Jared Kushner?

In an apparent nod to reality television shows like "The Bachelor", Baldwin's Trump announced his plans to banish one of the two men to the White House basement "with Kellyanne Conway".

Indeed so. North Korea has already expressed its concern that Trump's "aggressive" tweeting is "trouble".

"Jared you're such an inspiration", Baldwin says.

Fighting to save his career, the character silently begged Alec Baldwin's Donald Trump to pick him in an Apprentice-style face-off against Bannon, again portrayed as the Grim Reaper.

Alec Baldwin returned to SNL as Donald Trump, forced to choose between Jimmy Fallon's bashful Jared Kushner and Grim Reaper Steve Bannon. I can't stomach the idea of, say, having a wife who worked as a prison guard getting abused and threatened all day long. Recent hosts like Aziz Ansari and Kristen Stewart have taken full advantage of the platform to apply their personal experiences as non-white or female or gay to make a commentary on Trump's America.

'Let's go, kids, eat all the candy you want, cause it's probably the last Easter that we will ever have on Earth'. Then he drives the egg vehicle into the podium.

"That doesn't just happen", he reportedly told a visitor this month, a preferred phrase of Mr Trump's used to denote anger at subordinates who advance their interests over his own.

And, finally, Fallon rewarded longtime fans by joining forces with old castmate Rachel Dratch to bring back beloved/obnoxious Bostonians Denise and Sully.

The show will take a few weeks off and will return on May 6 with Chris Pine as the host and LCD Soundsystem as the musical guest.
