Polaris Prize-winning and JUNO award-nominated Montreal producer Kaytranada has been revealed as one of a small but stacked cast of collaborators for R&B star Mary J. Blige's upcoming album, Strength of a Woman. Over soulful horns, the newly-single songstress shares an important lesson on self-love.

"You gotta love yourself if you really wanna be with someone else", Blige sings on the hook, stressing the importance of valuing yourself when entering into a relationship.

All fired up, Kanye comes through with a powerful verse.

"I decided not to use my colour as a handicap", Kanye raps.

Meanwhile, "Love Yourself" is West's second high-profile guest appearance this month. "I just wasn't getting it back, so if I can't get respect in the relationship, then I have to move on and save myself". Kanye being on a record called "Love Yourself" may induce some chuckling, but after his highly publicized battle with mental-health issues, hearing him on such a triumphant homage to self-care is, if nothing else, an indicator of his improvement. I'm a fan of Kanye. "I'm still in it", she said.

Mary also talked about how the album was therapeutic for her and helped her take her life off "hold" and allowed her to become "whole" again.
