Today, the league has fined the Pelicans' All-Star $50,000 for that "inappropriate language" directed toward fans.

But Cousins received his 18th technical of the season in just his third game with the Pelicans, resulting in a one-game suspension.

The first instance took place at the Staples Center when a Lakers fan seated behind the scorer's table heckled Cousins on his way to the bench, calling him "fat boy".

New Orleans Pelicans forward DeMarcus Cousins (0) is fouled during second half action against the Toronto Raptors at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. And now, he's been hit with this fine, the latest in a string of incidents that also include Cousins berating a Sacramento Kings beat reporter earlier this season. The next night, following the game against Utah, Cousins had a profane interaction with one fan captured on video.

According to the fan, who uploaded the video from Monday's game to YouTube, Cousins allegedly tried to come back out of the tunnel and had to be held back by his teammates.
