Chance of showers, wind in Friday's forecast

Thursday Sunny, with a high near 52. Highs 75-81. South wind 12-25 miles per hour.

Overnight the low should be around 30 with continuing wind gusts.

Humidity values will drop below 25 percent Friday afternoon with winds increasing to 10 to 20 miles per hour, the forecasters explained.

Highs on Friday will range from the mid 30s to low 40s. Southeast wind 6 to 8 miles per hour. South wind 12-25 miles per hour.

Thursday should bring sunny skies and highs in the mid-50s for Topeka and vicinity, according to the National Weather Service.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 50.

As for Friday, there's "a chance of a few snow showers or flurries", Hoffman said.
