Rac 1 adds that Isco is yet to make a decision about the Catalans' offer but he has also turned down the overtures from Real Madrid to meet with him in order to sign a new deal. But if Barcelona have their way they could ensure that he departs from the Spanish capital in 2018 instead.

With a direct transfer involving Barcelona and Real Madrid pretty much out of the question, the only way Barcelona can sign Isco is if the Spaniard accepts this reported offer and runs down his contract. Los Blancos even offered a new deal to Isco, which was subsequently rejected by the player in December.

It's suggested Isco will be awarded a £17m bonus spread over five years if he arrives at Barca on a free in 2018.

The Spanish champions see Isco as a natural successor to Iniesta, as per reports, and he could prove to be a long-term solution in midfield for them, with his best years ahead of him.

"It has been a very hard season thus far, because of muscular injuries, it hasn't gone as I had planned", Iniesta replied.

"Barça have already spoken with Isco".

Despite not having many opportunities this season with Real Madrid, if Isco finally moves to Barcelona it would be shocking transfer movement.

Isco was a very important part in the recent success obtained by Real Madrid.

Real Madrid will not sanction Isco's departure to their arch-enemies at any price at the end of the current season but would be unable to prevent his move to the Nou Camp in the summer of 2018 if he is out of contract.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is eager to satisfy Zidane's demands this summer and is ready to help the Frenchman land his top targets.
