Man United signs 5-year contract with Pogba

Pogba joined United in 2009 but made only seven substitute appearances before leaving for Italy in 2012 as a 19-year-old, with a tribunal ruling Juventus had to pay 1.5m pound for him. So I was thinking: Why not?

Mourinho considers Pogba to be one of the best players in the world and said that Pogba will be a key figure in his plans of building a team for the future.

"First of all (we must) win the league for the first time with United because I hadn't won the league when I left", he said. The Champions League of course. "And, personally, one of my dreams is to win the Ballon d Or", Pogba told MUTV.

The France midfielder had to spend his post-Euro 2016 holiday in the United States avoiding the subject of a potential transfer whenever he was out in public or on social media. "The wait was as annoying to me as it was to you", Pogba said. "For all the money that has been spent, we've not been able to keep Grade A players or incentivise them to come here in the first place".

"But this group of 23 is a great group and I think in this moment - and I told them this - there is a little bit of frustration for the ones that I have not selected". Pogba concluded: "I started here and I came back to finish the job". "It is hard to explain so much in a few lines but I made a decision guided by my heart and nothing else", the French global added. The signing of Pogba proves that United can still compete for the world's best.

A statement from the Serie A club read: "Juventus Football Club announce than an agreement has been finalised with Manchester United Football Club for the definitive transfer of the registration rights of the player Paul Labile Pogba for a consideration of €105m to be paid in two financial years".

"He is going to be a top player for years to come and he will make a big difference to United's title chances". That's why. I am focused about this and that's it.

With the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Luis Suarez attracted away from the Premier League and to Spain in recent years, Match of the Day presenter and former England striker Lineker feels Pogba's move is a good one for England.

With a transfer fee besting the £85 million Real Madrid paid to Tottenham back in 2013, Jose Mourinho has high hopes that Pogba will match his expectations, who has said that he can become the "heart of the club" for the duration of the next decade.

Manager Jose Mourinho said the France global could be "the heart of the club" for the next decade.
