Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has revealed his surprise after wife Jools gave birth to the couple's second son, admitting he's "beyond happy" there's another boy in the family.

Oliver took to Instagram to make the announcement and show off the as yet unnamed baby boy.

Baby Oliver - whose first name has yet to be announced - looked content to sleep in his mother's arms as the cameras snapped away, while his older siblings gushed and cooed over him.

It sounds like the birth was hugely emotional too, with Jamie and Jools' daughters Poppy, 14, and Daisy, 13, being a part of the little one's delivery.

The new addition to the Oliver family weighed in at 8lbs which Jamie clarified is "16 packs of butter for you bakers out there".

Jools shared a sweet shot of her baby boy breastfeeding on Instagram, writing, "Little baby boy Oliver has arrived".

"Jamie was my hero (no name yet)!"

They haven't decided on a name yet, but we're sure it will match their other children's names: Poppy Honey Rosie, Daisy Boo Pamela, Petal Blossom Rainbow and Buddy Bear Maurice.

"And love to all you mums out there how fantastic you are it blows my mind".

He shared: "I love kids".

Jamie and Jools talk about chaos with having five children now in the clip below.

The couple married in June 2000 and already have four kids together.

Jamie also recently revealed that he was hoping for another son. Asked whether he would prefer the new arrival to be a boy or a girl, the 40-year-old chef told the Mirror: "You know what, I'm always grateful for what I get".
