While Leicester's opening match against newly-promoted Hull gives them a good chance of avoiding becoming the first ever Premier League champions to lose the first match of their title defense, few teams have a tougher-looking start to their campaign.

The first match of the season on August 13, Liverpool and Arsenal will play.

Pep Guardiola's new side open at home to Sunderland and the title favourites are just 30/100 with Sky Bet to get their campaign off to a winning start.

Two former Southampton bosses will trade blows on the pitch as Ronald Koeman's first taste as Everton manager will be to host Spurs, coached by his predecessor at Saints, Maurico Pochettino.

He will not have to wait long to renew his old rivalry with Guardiola either, with the first Manchester derby being held at Old Trafford on September 10.

The fixtures have been announced this morning for the new season, which begins on August 13, and it sees Claudio Ranieri's champions head to the KC Stadium to face the Tigers.

Jose Mourinho's first Premier League game in charge of Manchester United will be away at Bournemouth.

City's final five games will see them have three home games against West Brom, Crystal Palace and Leicester and away trips to Middlesbrough and Watford.

For four Premier League outfits, some games will be defined not necessarily in themselves, but in where they fall on the season's calendar.

Finally, the 2016/17 season concludes with a home fixture against West Bromwich Albion - it always feels better when the last game of the season is at home.

Mourinho will face his rival, Guardiola come September 20 and Liverpool and Chelsea, October 22 and 29 respectively.
