SkySpace LA and SkySlide open with a grand opening party on Saturday, June the 25th, with a free block party.

OUE Skyspace LA is part of comprehensive asset enhancement works spearheaded by OUE to transform the U.S. Bank Tower, which it acquired in 2013, from a commercial building into a vibrant business, social and tourist destination.

This "Skyslide" will take sliders from the 70th floor down to the 69th, and is about 45 feet long.

Even though the slide is made of glass, it is approved for safety and fun.

The digital area of the observation deck also includes a "Silhouette Wall" that creates a mirror image of someone standing in front of the wall using pixels.

The U.S. Bank Tower is now the tallest building in the U.S. west of Chicago. The event will feature food trucks, activities, a beer garden and musical entertainment including Snoop Dogg.

You'd need nerves of steel for this new glass slide - hovering nearly 1,000 feet above ground level in one of the US's tallest buildings.
