‘You called me a liar,’ Warren told Sanders post-Iowa debate

After the debate, Warren approached Bernie seeming as if she had something to say.

Six other candidates failed to qualify for the debate. "If any of the women on this stage or any of the men on this stage win the nomination - I hope that's not the case, I hope it's me - but if they do, I will do everything in my power to make sure that they are elected in order to defeat the most risky president in our country". Sanders didn't agree with her assertion that he discounted women's chances at winning the presidency.

Earlier, Sanders squared off with former vice president Joe Biden over the issue of trade. "I just wanted to say 'Hi, ' Bernie". "I did everything I could to prevent that war". "We have worked together in the Senate for years".

"I think you called me a liar on national TV", she repeated.

Biden said Tuesday night that President Trump "flat-out lied" about Iran's late Gen. Qassem Soleimani when presenting him as an imminent danger to Americans in the region.

"We have to get combat troops out", declared Warren, who also called for reducing the military budget. Only the two of them really know what was said.

"I disagreed", she said. "We can continue to remain engaged without having an endless commitment to ground troops".

"That is correct", Sanders said. "Anybody who knows me knows that it's incomprehensible that I would think that a woman can not be president of the United States".

Sanders said the agreements "were written for one reason alone, and that is to increase the profits of large multinational corporations".

"1990", Bernie said. Warren could be seen visibly counting. Warren confirmed in a statement, that in 2018 you told her that you did not believe that a woman could win the election. Look at the men on this stage. GQ writer Julia Ioffe saw a parallel between Sanders fans who summarily dismissed Warren's retelling and those who discounted claims of sexual harassment brought by women.

Warren's confrontation with Sanders - as the rest of the Democratic field shook hands and smiled - followed sparring in the debate over reports that Sanders told Warren in a private 2018 meeting that a female candidate couldn't beat Trump.

"Does anybody in their right mind think a woman can't be elected president?"

First, Trump and McCarthy seem to believe Sanders' supporters can be manipulated - a belief I suspect the Vermonter's backers will find insulting - and intra-party divisions in Democratic politics can be stoked to ensure Trump's re-election. And here's what I know.

"I've been the object of his affection now more than anybody else on the stage", Biden said.
