Luckily, we have scoured the internet and prepared the following round-up of our favourite Black Friday deals. It identified key product types that were cheaper outside Black Friday sales - such as smart speakers, tumble dryers as well as coffee makers.

Despite one in three shoppers saying they are more Amazon's deals than any other retailer, only 5% of us actually shopped with ecommerce giant on Black Friday previous year and similar numbers are expected again.

Six in 10 were found to be cheaper on at least one day in the six months before Black Friday, while 74% were cheaper after.

Walmart, Best Buy, Target and many other stores released Black Friday 2019 ads last week.

"We have shown time and again that the" offers "advertised by Black Friday retailers are not as good as they look", says Natalie Hitchins, Which? head of home products and services.

"Our investigation indicates that this popular shopping event is all hype and there are few genuine discounts".

Do not panic - Do not be afraid to miss a good offer because our research revealed that it would be better to wait after Black Friday anyway. On Friday, precisely every week forward of the smartly-behaved delivery up date, Amazon, Currys PC World and John Lewis launched their Black Friday offers, and there some are extreme financial savings to be made.

But Which? found no evidence that retailers were breaking sales laws.

Find out about offers in advance - Sign up to your favourite retailers' newsletters for inside tips, or check their social media pages ahead of the sales for any clues or hints to what will be on offer.

Last year, around £1.49bn was spent on United Kingdom online retail sites on Black Friday, according to IMRG, up from £1.39bn a year earlier, with smart home devices among the best sellers.

The biggest shopping event of the year kicks off on November 29 - so we don't have long to go.

Black Friday is about more than electronics.
