Ghostbusters: Afterlife Movie Sequel First Look Photos Revealed

After the recent remake, I'm sure we could all use something a little more heartfelt and passionate about the franchise's name. Her kids must then decide whether or not to join the family business when they move to a property in a small Oklahoma town they inherit.

Unlike the 2016 reboot, Ghostbusters: Afterlife exists in the same universe as the original 1984 classic.

Director Jason Reitman, son of original Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman, is finally ready to let the public in on what he's planning for the next installment of the phantom-fighting comedy franchise.

Logan Kim additionally stars as one amongst Phoebe's classmates, whereas Ant-Man's Paul Rudd plays a scientist and college teacher, Mr. Grooberson, who became once a baby in Recent York at some stage in the 1984 "The the giant apple Crossrip" (the movie's name for the enormous Stop Puft Marshmallow Man rampage in the distinctive movie).

The title of 2020's Ghostbusters revival has been revealed as Ghostbusters: Afterlife, with Vanity Fair offering up the first plot details and images from the film.


Dan Aykroyd is an executive producer on the film, and he along with Sigourney Weaver, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson are set to reprise their roles in "Ghostbusters: Afterlife", but it's unclear in what capacity, and none of teaser materials have shown them yet. It's also revealed that Paul Rudd plays a summer school teacher named Mr. Grooberson who is obsessed with the original Ghostbusters and who offers knowledge about the "Manhattan Crossrip", which is the event that happened in NYC in the original film.
