Apple is reportedly developing an iPad Pro and MacBook Pro with new Mini-LED screen technology. Here's what you should know. That allows for more mini-LEDs to be used on a display, which translates to a handful of significant real-world benefits.

With a larger display and improved stylus responsiveness, the iPad Pro remains a top choice for artists and professionals in need of a powerful portable device. "With Retina 6K resolution, gorgeous colour, extreme brightness and contrast ratio, and a highly functional design, Pro Display XDR delivers the most comprehensive set of features ever offered on any display at this price point", Phil Schiller said.

TL;DR: Apple's new 32GB iPad usually retails for $329, but today it's on sale for a mere $229.99 on Amazon - that's a bigger discount than its Black Friday pricing. He didn't elaborate on what that means, however.

What's more, mini-LED displays would help Apple avoid some of the burn-in issues that can sometimes arise with OLED displays - though that hasn't been much of an issue with the iPhone.

Rumors of Apple incorporating mini-LED display technology into its product line have have been circulating for some time now, and Kuo's recent note seems to corroborate those earlier reports. Third-party estimates from Counterpoint Research also suggest that Apple is leading the wireless earbuds industry with a 60% share of the market as of the fourth quarter of 2018.Cook also said on Apple's fourth quarter earnings that AirPods "just keep hitting new highs". As reported by The Verge, it's now being speculated that the company could release an iPad Pro and a 16-inch MacBook Pro with the new display by the end of next year.

It's not clear how long we will have to wait to see iPhones with the new mini-LED panels.
