Actor In Disgraced Peloton Commercial Speaks On "Malicious Feedback"

Another actor from the highly criticized Pelton commercial is speaking out.

In the Peloton ad, the newly drafted cyclist has a look of terror on her face, as if she fears not being able to measure up to the goals set by her husband. The official Peloton ad on the company's YouTube channel has been seen by more than 3.6 million people.

"The Gift That Gives Back" ad depicts a fit-looking woman being gifted a Peloton bike by her husband, and continues to show her progress and excitement as she uses the bike day-by-day.

During his interview with GMA, Hunter called out social media's negative impacts on society.

He also says he is anxious that the viral backlash will damage his fledgling acting career as well as his status as a elementary school teacher.


'I now sit right here hoping that I'll have the option to proceed auditioning for commercials with out any taint, and that if my college students occur to decide on up the industrial and survey me, they gained't bear in mind of me any various than they already know me, ' Hunter told Psychology This day. The 30-second ad sparked a storm on Twitter, with many calling it sexist.

Comedian Jess Dweck tweeted that the ad reminded her of an episode of the popular show "Black Mirror".

Hunter said even his friends had weighed in on the controversy, with one person even telling him that he had become "a symbol of the patriarchy".

The brilliant troll job from the gin company quickly went viral with fans lapping it up and praising Reynolds for his sheer genius. And so has the man who played the role of the woman's husband in the commercial.

The bike may screw up both the holiday season and the relationship.

"I am proud to be a great teacher and a developing actor, and I can only hope that it affects neither one nor the other (but) there is really hard to improve when all comments are against any kind of growth, "he admitted".

On Friday, Sean Hunter - who stars in the Peloton commercial as the husband who gifts his wife the expensive exercise bike - opened up about the negative backlash the ad has received. It's an interesting commercial to say the least, but it's mostly baffling. "Backlash is worth monitoring", they continued, adding that they expected the ad to be taken down.

Peloton says its new holiday being mocked as "sexist" and "dystopian" was meant to celebrate a fitness and wellness journey.

One thing is for sure: Tom Ellis should avoid buying Meaghan a Peloton bike for Christmas.
