An Epic spokesperson spoke to The Sun and doubled-down on their decision to ban Jarvis.

Fortnite is a "battle royale" type of video game that enables up to 100 players to fight individually or as part of a team to be the last survivor on a virtual battlefield.

United Kingdom 17-year-old Jarvis Kaye, more popularly known as "FaZe Jarvis", was banned from playing Fortnite when it emerged he had been using an "aimbot" while playing the wildly popular online game.

Jarvis did post a video apologising for cheating and also stated that he did not know that he would be banned for life and wasn't aware of the consequences of his actions.

The statement appears to indicate that the company will be keeping the perma-ban in place for Jarvis, though that hasn't stopped the creator from making a profit off of the game as his ban video is estimated to have earned him £20,000 in revenue.

Jarvis, who has more than two million subscribers on YouTube, posted a video shortly after he was banned from the game.

"Epic Games (The creators of Fornite) you know I know how big of a mistake I've made and I'm truly like so sorry", he said. Because no one is flawless and the temptation to cheat is never far away, even in the world of video games. "Now I can't play Fortnite at all".

"He's broken. He loves that game". The company also included, "When men and women use aimbots or other cheat systems to achieve an unfair benefit, they destroy games for persons who are participating in rather".

In another recent case, two players, XXiF and Ronaldo have been caught teaming and farming kills during the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers and after Epic had conducted an investigation, they have chose to suspend both players for a maximum two weeks.

The back in forth in this video shows the two sides of the argument over FaZe Jarvis' ban.

The hashtag #FreeJarvis has popped up on social media, but opinion is still divided on whether the permanent ban is deserved. Do you think he should be unbanned?
