Piccadilly Theatre evacuated after ceiling collapse during Death of a Salesman

Several spectators suffered minor injuries after the incident and witnesses described hearing screams from nearby audience members in the Grand Circle. Just a few folk procure suffered minor injuries. Roads in the immediate area were cleared and closed following the evacuation.

A representative for the production said an official statement and information regarding the show's production schedule will follow.

London's Metropolitan Police say that "a few" people suffered minor injuries and that emergency services remained on scene. Attributed to the decomposition of building materials, the incident inured over 80 people, some seriously. The theatre was later evacuated.


A video shared on social media shows the U.S. actor outside the theatre asking the crowd to come back and see the play another time.

'The sound in the end got so loud that we stood up and started to head away, as we had been questioning what became once going to occur.

"We apologise and we're glad that no-one's hurt".

The London ambulance service, London fire brigade and Met police were called to the scene and road closures are in place around the theatre, Scotland Yard said. And I quiz you all to reach wait on and peep our production.


'Then, as we stood up, this broad chunk of ceiling, about three to four metres across, crashed down. We are so honoured that you came tonight.

'There had been folk screaming at that level and all americans got up and streamed down the stairs'.
