Lake effect snow will continue in the far north.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 2 p.m. for the entire Chicago area of northeast IL into NW Indiana Monday. Less traveled roads and some spots on the main roads will likely be slick, especially if there is snow on them.

As forecast, our lows will break records all across eastern Iowa tonight. Scattered snow showers are possible on Saturday, while lots of clouds are anticipated on Sunday.

By the late-morning or early afternoon, rain will start to change over to snow with a transition to all snow by the afternoon.

Scattered snow showers are expected tonight with little in the way of accumulation. We will actually hit our high temperature quite early in the day as we gradually drop to our overnight low of 10° on Monday night. Snow will be heaviest to finish the day.

The BITTER, COLD is officially here Wednesday morning. Tuesday night will be very cold, with lows around 14 in Akron and 18 in Cleveland.

Snow is expected with accumulations between 2-5 inches. I can assure you that everyone deals with the colder air as it's likely we won't return above freezing until Wednesday. All of the CBS4 viewing area should be all snow for the evening commute. Cold temperatures and wind chills in the single-digits are expected during the day on Monday.
