It's not known why we now call this famous day of deals Black Friday, but one theory is that it could be a reference to the "black ink" on the balance sheets (as opposed to being in the red) from the massive profits the retailers would rake in on the day.

In particular, Black Friday is a great time to shop for electronics, electrical appliances and pretty-much anything that usually costs the mega-bucks, and stores like Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart have some of the biggest savings in Canada. You can even find the lowest prices on laptops, tablets and more at Target.

These Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals aren't Amazon exclusive, but Amazon is one of the participating retailers.

Best Buy unveiled its Black Friday 2019 ad on Thursday, listing all the deals it has prepared for the upcoming Black Friday weekend.

"This is the busiest time of year for our guests, and with the shortened season, we want to make it as easy as possible for them to cross everything off their holiday list at Target". Alternatively, check out this link to browse through all the Best Buy Black Friday 2019 deals available right now.

This year, deals start November 22 (no official kickoff time was shared) and will continue through Thanksgiving.

You can definitely expect similar prices on the entire line of Amazon devices, as well as bundled deals with Smart Plugs or Nest thermostats.

Its stores will open at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and close at 1 a.m before reopening at 8 a.m. the next day. A few of the store's Black Friday offers will be exclusive to stores only, though many of Target's Black Friday deals will also be available online.

Buy two, get one free on Target games, video games, activity books, movies and music.

In addition, Best Buy for the first time in 2019 has a 75 inch 4KTV as a doorbuster deal (just make sure your vehicle or SUV is big enough to carry the box).

Other Amazon Black Friday Deals to Watch Amazon will no doubt have hundred, probably thousands, of lightning-deals happening during Black Friday week and bleeding over into Cyber Monday. Stores will reopen at 7 a.m. for the main event and the 2019 holiday shopping season will officially be underway.
