It also unveiled a new fan-cooled wireless charging stand with support for the "Mi Charge Turbo" standard, without yet revealing any price details.

Remember, the original Mi 9 only supports 20W wireless charging, which, until its Pro sibling arrives, is the fastest on the market. The Pro is also capable of 10W reverse wireless charging.

Other than these differences, you still get the same experience and functionality such as Qi wireless charging, a full-sized USB output port, and a USB Type-C port that doubles as both input and output port. It is the world's first 30W super wireless Flash charger. In order to charge such a battery from 0 to 100-percent, it'll take you 69 minutes. The power bank from Xiaomi works with a variety of devices, which also includes iPhone XS, Galaxy S9, and Xiaomi Mi 9.

Xiaomi's release would not be the only company with a fast wireless charging solution. This would put it on par with wired charging solutions seen on the likes of the Huawei P30 Pro, and just under the Galaxy Note 10 Plus's 45W wired charging (although these brands are undoubtedly investigating faster solutions too).

The highlight of this event was Xiaomi's Mi Charge Turbo technology, of course. It claims to fully charge a 4,000mAh battery in 13 minutes. It includes reverse-charging and is actually the highest so far. The high conversation efficiency should help ensure temperatures always stay under control while charging.

The manufacturer's push for wireless charging doesn't stop here though, as it's announced the formation of a wireless charging consortium with several other Chinese companies. One such is the heat, which is not ideal for the battery or the device, and could potentially lead to issues over time.
