Will AB play Sunday? Belichick non-committal

Belichick would not address whether he's preparing to have Brown on Sunday, nor would the coach address whether he's preparing for Brown to end up on the commissioner's exempt list.

That's because he remembers hearing similar sentiments about another outspoken receiver he traded for more than a decade ago. Belichick said he expects Brown to take part in practice Wednesday.

When pressed with follow-up questions, Belichick referred back to his statement and said: "When we know more we'll say more".

The Dolphins finished 7-9 past year, but were projected to be one of the league's worst teams in 2019 by most NFL experts even before Sunday's stinker and the ensuing mutiny reports. "We haven't practiced yet, so we're going through information with him like we would any new player, like we did with offensive linemen last week and just take it day-by-day and see how it goes".

After Brown was named in a lawsuit accusing him of sexually assaulting a former trainer, Belichick said Brown would practice with the team Wednesday, but he would not commit to Brown playing in Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins.

While Josh Rosen didn't make a particularly convincing argument for the starting job Sunday when he made his regular-season debut for Miami, the circumstance he was thrust into was pretty harsh.

But McDaniels was adamant that he won't change anything about his play-calling approach this week just to get Brown involved.

Although we're only one game into the season, the Dolphins are already the front-runner to land the #1 overall pick, which is expected to be Alabama's quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

"We're going to try to throw it where we're supposed to throw it and we don't try to force the ball anywhere or to anybody because that's not necessarily the way we do it". They acquired Josh Gordon in a trade with the Cleveland Browns in September of previous year, and it didn't take the veteran wideout long to make a strong impact.

"I think everybody's excited to add great players". "We just acquired him yesterday".
