Project Runway's Chris March Dead at 56

Chris March reportedly died from a heart attack, though he hadn't been in good health for a couple of years.

March was a finalist on Season 4 of "Project Runway" and returned for "Project Runway All Stars".

Sources told TMZ that March passed away on Thursday (September 05, 2019) after suffering a heart attack.


Outside of Project Runway, March designed for some of the biggest names in entertainment - including Meryl Streep, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, and Madonna.

Andy Cohen, who previously had tweeted about March's GoFundMe, took to Instagram to post about March's death, remembering the bubbly designer for his "big booming laugh; he was a joy and delight".

"We are deeply saddened by the news of Chris March's passing", said a spokesperson for Bravo. March was a fan favorite contestant for his larger-than-life personality, and his wildly outstanding wig creations earned him his own collection at Target.

Our most honest condolences go to March's family, friends, and loved ones during this trying time. "He will truly be missed", the statement read. According to the Go Fund Me page, March "nearly died" in June 2017 before he was hospitalized. His own Bravo series, Mad Fashion, aired in 2011. Chris laid there for 4 days, finally woke up and called 911 before being rushed to the hospital. Somehow I miraculously woke up - I couldn't talk and didn't know where I was for a couple of months.


He had suffered organ failure and had a collapsed lung, in accordance with the plot. He was moved to a nursing facility following his hospitalization. "I am also in need of leg braces, specialized physical therapy, a hearing aid, and a new living arrangement".

And confirmed up on The Precise Housewives of Recent York City as he labored to perform costumes for Sonja Morgan. "I have tried my best to make strides", he shared.

"In the face of all my setbacks, I try to remain positive - the leg braces are an exciting new tool on my road to recovery", he wrote. "I try to add humour, glamour, and a little glitter to my world".
