"In fact, it is often the people that they so strongly oppose that are actually the Elite", he wrote on Twitter on August 9.

Donald Trump is weighing in on the debate surrounding The Hunt movie.

Trump added, "The movie coming out is made in order to inflame and cause chaos".

Trump told reporters, "Hollywood is racist, what they're doing, with the kind of movies they're putting out".

Its plot sees people who have been kidnapped from traditionally Republican bastions such as Wyoming, Mississippi and Orlando, Florida waking up in a field surrounded by "elite" hunters, who proceed to gun them down. On top of that, the trailer also saw one of the characters describe the US President - but didn't name Trump - as the "ratfucker-in-chief". "At least The Hunt's coming up. What Hollywood is doing is a tremendous disservice to our country". "What they're doing with the kind of movies they're putting out is actually very unsafe for our country. In fact, it is often the people that they so strongly oppose that are actually the Elite", apparently in reference to himself and his supporters.

"The Hunt" is scheduled to be released in theaters next month.

I will go out on a limb and guess that Universal executives shelved the movie because of Trump's suggestion that film violence contributes to real violence, for which Hollywood liberals "then try to blame others".

"'The Hunt" has already proven to be controversial, as a marketing blitz that was due to kick off last week was postponed due to the recent mass shootings in the US. "But Hollywood is really bad", the president said.

Given how the shooter in El Paso was directly inspired by Donald Trump's racist speeches, it's not surprising that the studio chose to pull the trailer in light of the events - but that didn't stop Fox News from making a splash out of it. "They're treating conservatives very unfairly", he said before addressing Hollywood. "And they can't do that".
